Highgate 0-8 Nuneaton Town

The Isuzu FA Vase First Round Qualifying draw saw Nuneaton Town make an away trip to Shirley in the West Midlands, where they faced Midland Premier Division side Highgate United. The Town arrived full of confidence, having secured victories in their first five league games in the United Counties League Premier Division South. It quickly became apparent that this match would be dominated by the visitors, as striker Kyle Jardine impressed by completing his hat trick within the initial 22 minutes of the cup tie. By half time, Nuneaton led 0-5, with additional goals scored by James Spruce and Eesa Sawyers.

In the second half, Nuneaton Town maintained their control of the match, continuing to press forward from the outset and were duly rewarded with three more goals, netted by Jayden Martin, Dante Hesson, and Corey Currithers. Their comprehensive victory sets up the next round for Nuneaton Town, who will travel to face Knowle FC in their upcoming away fixture.

It was a really entertaining match to photograph, featuring plenty of excitement and intensity, with the majority of the action taking place in the Highgate half.
