The Play-off Final

They don’t get much bigger than this! On Monday 1st May, Nuneaton Borough Football Club face Rushall Olympic in the Southern League Premier Central playoff final. The prize, a chance to compete in the National League North.

After Nuneaton Borough won their away play-off semifinal 1-2 at Leiston in extra time, and Rushall won away at Coalville on penalties, it’s the teams that finished 4th and 5th respectively that now have the chance to compete at a higher level along with newly promoted Tamworth.

When I first joined the Boro, they had just been relegated from the National League North. Over the last few years, everyone involved with the club have worked tirelessly to give its local community a football club to be really proud of.

After the disruption caused by Covid-19 and narrowly avoiding relegation last season, the aim was to reach the play-offs. That’s been achieved and now we want to go one step further!
