Nuneaton Borough made the hour long trip to Derbyshire to play Mickleover Football Club. With the Boro’s playoff spot secured, it was the hosts who needed to get something out of the game to be in with a chance of promotion from the Pitching In Southern League Premier Division Central.

Lions, cheetahs, phoenix, titans, and jaguars descended on Nuneaton’s Liberty Way for Nuneaton Jaguars American Football Club’s U14s Prowl Bowl. It was the first time that they had ever hosted the tournament and it was a massive success. Teams as far as Wales, Hertfordshire, and Northamptonshire had travelled to take part, including: Northants Titans; Hertfordshire Cheetahs; Birmingham Lions Academy; Flag Football Wales Wildcats; and Phoenix Phutures.

It’s always nice to be asked back again! I first photographed the Haunchwood Knights last season and they used some of their photos for their end of season presentation. Today’s grassroots football match took place at Haunchwood Sports, with the Knights playing against Christ the King Juniors.

After three weeks of frozen pitches and no non-league football, it was great to be back at the First Class Safety Stadium for Nuneaton Borough’s Pitching In Southern League Premier Central tie against Stourbridge.
